A few more recipes!

I received a few more recipes after I had put the inital download together as well as a couple of replacements for recipe cards that were sent in but not saved at print quality.  Check them out - they are really good!  Lady V dZine shared her recipe book with me and had added a filler page to write in new recipes.  It is really cool and she shared it with me to share with you!  It is included in the download.  Thanks Virginia!  You also need to check out what Valinda did with the recipes cards - a really neat way to store them!

Skip ABC Kit - The "V" Alpha

Oh my goodness I am so excited!!!!  I know there has been a lot of talk about how to print out all of the recipe cards and Debi has found the solution!  She has been using ArtsCow to print her scrapbooking pages and I finally checked it out today and it is WAY cheaper than Shutterfly!  I also received 1200 free prints, three 8x8 photobooks, calendars and way more stuff for FREE just for signing up with them which is free too!  They have so many promotions going on that I can see I am going to be spending a lot of time there!  Debi had arranged her recipe cards 6 on a page and so I tried the same thing (printed one at home just to be sure that I could still read them) and here is how they look - including my album covers:

Recipe Brag Book!! 329 Brag Book Pages!!!

Well that was way more work than I anticipated lol!  There are 329 recipe cards!!!  I want to thank everyone who participated and sent in recipe cards - they look great!

I have included my personal TOU in the files to credit the commercial use designers whose products I used in creating my Run, Skip and Jump Kits and to prevent anyone from selling or redistributing the links online.  Having said that, I do not intend to sell the Recipe Brag Book and the links will be available for a very long time.  Please feel free to print out your books for gifts!  I also don't have a problem with anyone selling printed copies of the brag book for charity purposes (not online) but for school/church fundraisers.  Please let me know if you have any questions about that!  It took WAY too many hours to upload these files so I only made one set (all around 40mb each).  There is 335 mb total!  For some reason I had in my head that 100mb=1GB but I was wrong - thankfully!

Blank Recipe Cards

Recipe cards are due September 30th!!!  I have made up a few blank recipe cards for you to quickly type out your favourite recipes on if you are short on time - like all of us!!  Make sure to email your finished recipes to me at digitreats@rogers.com!

Final Set of Labels and a new Template!

Deadline for recipe submissions is September 30th!

Tara sent me an email requesting some more labels for the following purposes:

1. Secret Recipe - Every family has a secret recipe
2. Comfort Food - Those foods that are bad for you.. but you just have to have them
3. Seafood - Everything seafood.. Lobster, crabs, and shrimp oh - my
4. Kid Approved - Those foods you can get your kids to eat
5. Hurricane Tested - Things I could make without electricity (Smile)
6. 30 Minute Meal - Things I can make quickly, after a grueling day at work
7. Barbeque - Things I could make without electricity (Smile) Hurricane tested
8. Chowder - I'm orginally from the north, I have a zillion chowder recipes
9. Superbowl - Those party foods... superbowl levels
10. Mom's Specialty - That recipe only my mom can make
11. Dad's Specialty  - That recipe only dad makes
12. Military Secrets - That one Goulash/SOS recipe the military taught my mom to make that we kids actually liked.

So I have gone ahead and done those ones as well as "casserole" (I think April had requested that one) and Diet - my pick!

Carole modified my original recipe template into a double recipe card that can be folded for those longer recipes - great idea Carole and thanks for sharing!  You can use the double recipe card or you can split your recipe onto two cards - whichever you fancy!

Personalized Sets:  Johanna left a comment asking if I would do less common names or spelling for the sets and the answer is absolutely yes!!!  It is a bonus if someone else requests the same name later on but I will do any name - no matter how unique!

Does dinner count?  I asked Abby again this morning what she meant by the question and she looked at me like I had two heads.  I will never know what that was about!

ABC Kits - Recipes!

I am so pleased that all of you are interested in sharing your recipes!  I know this started out as recipes for picky eaters but many of you have asked if we could expand it to include any favourite recipes and of course we can!  I am totally going to be giving away recipe books for Christmas and to my children's teachers!

I think we will stick with the 4x6 size as they are cheaper to print (I intend to send mine to Wal-Mart for printing) and they can fit into easy to find albums/brag books.  I have made up a template and some title tiles to categorize your recipes but it is entirely up to you whether you choose to use them.  I played around a bit and made a couple of samples shown in the preview below.

End of the Day title tile:  for sharing your special grownup beverages you make at the end of a long day after dealing with your picky eaters!  I want your cocktail recipes!

A few guidelines:

-4x6 size

-save as a jpeg, quality 10

-use only Digitreats ABC Kits (please do not use any add-ons or other products as we do not have permission to redistribute them)

-add your name, screen name, email address - whatever you want!  (I will save all of the emails so that in the event that someone wants to publish your recipe I will contact you directly to pass along the information)

-email your finished product(s) to me at digitreats@rogers.com .  You may submit as many recipes as you would like!  If you have multiple recipes you may have to send them in separate emails due to file sizes.

I am probably going to leave it open for a couple of weeks to give everyone who wants to submit a recipe time to do so.  I will post a notice on my blog a couple of days before the deadline.  Once I have all of your recipes I will put them together in zip files (don't worry - I will make them small for those of you on dial-up) and make them available for everyone to download free here on my blog.  I will NOT be selling these brag book recipes at ANY time.

Please remember:  My TOU does not usually allow for the creating of brag book pages or quick pages for redistribution.  I am making an exception with these recipe pages but they must be submitted to me for redistribution.  Just didn't want there to be any confusion!
