New Jiggy Elements

Since the children have started school again I have begun to notice while dropping them off that I am getting older ... and I mean older than most of the other parents.  I just turned 38 in September and I have a 10 year old and 6 year old twins.  When Brady first started school I felt like I was one of the youngest parents and I understand that is probably the case most often with your first born however ....  something else is going on here.  There are only 3 possibilities that I can think of - (a)  the generation after me started having their children much younger  (b)  I am indeed aging at a much more rapid pace then everyone else lol!  (c)  botox.  Anyone else noticing this?

Some thoughts on my Day

Joshua has been telling me for a long time that he wants to live with me forever.  He is 6 years old and I know that when he is 16 it will be the last thing in the world he wants to do but at the moment it upsets him a great deal to think about leaving me.  I couldn't be happier lol!  I have told him that he never has to leave and that I would love him to stay for as long as he wants.  Last year, we got a puppy and within 3 days Abby could barely breathe (we found out that she was allergic to dogs but clearly there must have been the asthma component as well given recent events - more about this story another time) so we had to return him.  Joshua has now decided that he will move out someday because he wants to get a dog (this was only after he pleaded that we get rid of Abby so we could have a dog and I said no).

This brings me to the fight of the week at my house.  The house next door to us is for sale and the kids have been fighting, and I mean screaming fighting about who is going to buy it so they can live right next door to us.  Abby and Joshua are twins and they are 6 years old, clearly they don't get ... well quite frankly any of it lol!  I went through the financial aspects of buying a house as well as being of age to live on your own, the fact that the house may not be for sale still when they are in the position to buy it and that we may move by then etc.  On and on and on and on.  They don't get it and the fighting continues as well as the crying.

Big news!!!!  Yesterday the house on the other side of us went up for sale.  The fighting has stopped because now they can each have one.  I am happy and I may have to sabotage any potential buyers by whatever means possible so I don't have to deal with the sale of one of the homes lol!

P.S.  Brady is not in the running for one of the houses because at 10 he has decided that he wants to live close enough to us that he can come over for a visit but not so close that we can be in his business.  Reeeeeaaaaallly!!!  We haven't even finished putting in our time raising him and he is already thinking about being free!  He is not at the top of my favourites list this week lol!

P.P.S  Do you thing we should take it personally that we moved in 6 months ago and now both of our neighbours are moving?  LOL!!!

 
I did not have any creative inspiration today, all of my newest Jiggy elements were not working out so all I have tonight is a template for you.  I have a feeling tomorrow will be a much more creative day!

Jiggy Alpha

Joshie said this to me on the way to school today:

"Mommy, did you know that when it is night time and we are sleeping and it is dark that it is because the sun has moved to shine up the other side of the world?"

How cute is that?!  When my kids say adorable things like "shine up the other side of the world" I always feel a tiny bit of sadness about the fact that they are growing up and will one day soon stop with their cute little thoughts and move on to more mature ones.  I know that is just the way it goes and the cute sayings probably get replaced with something else that will be equally enjoyable but ... you know what I mean?!

Jiggy Part Two!

I had several people ask me if I was on Facebook so I decided to try and open up a Digitreats Facebook page today.  Looks like I did it but the friend requests keep going to my own name.  I had a Facebook account a while ago but I had closed it when several ex-boyfriends from the past started to find me and I got creeped out so I closed it lol!  Anyway, here is the page http://www.facebook.com/?sk=ff&ap=1#!/pages/Digitreats/137930656253063?ref=sgm .  I thought it might be a cool way for you to show me your layouts with your Digitreats goodies and to give me ideas about what you would like to see.  Any advice you can give me on how to use Facebook would be appreciated!!!

New Freebie Kit - Jiggy!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, we certainly did!  I have to say again that I am so happy to see all  of your familiar names in my blog comments - I really did miss you!

Do you think this outfit is too dressy for school?

Just kidding!  My Aunt and Uncle brought Abby this outfit back from Spain and she wants to wear it every day!  Check out the heels lol!!

I promised you that I would have a mix of things for everyone so I started designing a less feminine kit tonight.  I am going to work on it this week so this is only the first part.  It may turn out to be a full kit or a mini kit, I will have to see where it takes me!  Any suggestions?

Lisa - Barrie is approx. an hour and a half from Whitby (where we lived before).  LOL about the contractor ... we have a new contractor story to tell as we did finish the basement here too!
