This summer has been so much fun and so busy!!! I hope you are all having a fantastic summer too!
Here are some pics of what we have been up to:
We went to a cottage that we rented the first week of July and had a great time. The kids loved fishing and we rented a jet ski one day and did some tubing!
We moved to Barrie exactly 14 months ago and now have found out we are moving again. I swear it is because I just finished painting and wallpapering lol! This will hopefully be our last move, the rest of the jobs Brent will do will be in Toronto and commutable from Burlington (Ontario, Canada). Searching for the right house and working out the details of the move took up most of July ... it was not my favourite part of the summer, moving is so stressful and I honestly was not expecting it again.The kids are pretty excited because we finally bought a house with a pool! They will also be going to the same school where Brent and I first met in grade 8 :)
The kids went to YMCA camp for a week and had a sleepover on one of the nights. They loved it!!! They go back for another week the middle of August.
Lots of days at Canada's Wonderland - we have season's passes because it is less than 45 minutes from out house. I prefer Disney!
We went camping at Darien Lake last weekend and it was awesome! What a different experience to sit at your campfire with a roller coaster and fireworks as your backdrop!
I see that I have some email to return - it is so sweet that you have all been worried about me not posting last month. I promise to catch up on my email this week as well as get working on some new stuff to post next week when the kids are at camp.
I would love to read your comments about what you have been doing so far this summer!
So glad you're ok!! Been worried...LOL....our summer has been great, took a two week road trip to St Louis, Mt Rushmore, and Yellowstone National Park....(Hint, Hint, road trip stuff would be great) LOL.....Your pics look great, kids are getting so big, and I'm sorry you have to move just when you got things the way you wanted them, but think of the pool and all the new exciting decorating!! :)

Looks like a LOT of FUN!! Moving doesn't though.LOL I can't imagine moving again.I have lived where I am now for fifteen years...and collected a LOT in that time.:/
Just remember...one box at a time ..you will be less frustrated.:)

oh my goodness! i thought you left us again! i can see why you've been away from your usual postings though! You have had a busy summer. Glad you are back! i had a computer crash while you were gone and lost ALL of you new series! i cried buckets. i had just begun moving everything to my EHD when my computer decided i wanted to move that file to the trash instead of the EHD! i tried to stop it; i tried to do a "set back" on my 'puter, but it wouldn't give me back those files. They're floating around on the ether somewhere...i don't know if my techie can find them or not, but i'm going to let him have a go at it! Anyway, i'm glad you are having a wonderful summer and are adjusting once more to a new home. You will make it a HOME and not just a house, if i know you like i believe i do! Welcome back - glad to see the pix and know you are back in the harness!

We moved this summer too!! It amazes me how much time and effort and mental effort goes into moving. I'm exhausted!!!! Take as much time as you need. We'll be here when you get back!

I am so glad to have you back - I was worried something awful may have happened! Hope the 'break' over summer was enough to get you through the move. Looks like the kids had a great time. Thanks for sharing their pictures with us. We have been having winter here in Australia - it has been varied weather - heating on two weeks ago, beautiful 'summery' last week, back to cold and heating this week. And add some very heavy rain to that.

So glad to here everything is Ok and you have been having fun. Photos are great and the house looks awesome. It's good that the kids are happy about a new school. That does get tough for them as they don't like moving away from friends. Enjoy the little time left with them before school starts.

Glad you've had a great summer. My three youngest are still very involved in Camp Fire USA over the summer. Hannah had a wildlife class on Monday mornings and a evening camp on Tuesday's were they visited a different country each week. They eat dinner, play games, make crafts, and have a lesson. Then they boys have been taking turns going off with week long service-learning trips with Camp Fire and in then doing local community service projects in between. They probably both have over 200 hours this summer. Joshua ended up getting to visit the ER on his trip. 4 kids got sick and dehydrated. Once they had an IV and some anti-nausea meds they recovered quickly. Still waiting for that bill. My oldest who is working in South Sudan with MCC has been offered an opportunity to stay for four more years with a promotion to country director. He will be making the decision later this fall. My poor 20 yo is still trying to find a job. School starts back up here August 22 so too more weeks of summer activities and then back to the regular grind.

So glad you got to enjoy your summer with the kids! We've never had a house with our own pool (just one in the subdivision) - but I bet having one right in your backyard must be a BLAST!!

Glad you are back! Sorry about the move. I am always thinking that I would like to move and then I remember all the work that goes into moving.
Our summer has been very low key. Our teenage daughter has done more traveling than we have as a family.
My parents are coming for visit next week from Kenya. They live in Kenya taking care of orphans. It has been two years since our last visit and we are looking forward to seeing them.
I hope your move goes smoothly. Can't wait for the new stuff.

Love this house!!!! I'm happy for you! It's exciting that the kids will go to the same school as Mom and Dad did! Those three kids are so fun to follow, thanks so much for sharing them!!!! We're expecting more "guest bloggers" from your house this year! I've had a busy summer too so kind of a relief that you haven't been here....that means I haven't missed much! Glad you are back but since my main computer has been down for most of July and I was away at dance nationals with my daughter I really did not know you were "missing" -- my main puter still is not working so I am in scrap withdraw but at least I can check in on things with the laptop. Our kids are at their grandparents this week and we go down on Friday and come home Tues. Sorry you have to move again after just getting things the way you wanted but hopefully it will be the last time and it looks like a great house, my kids were be super jealous of the pool.
