Doesn't it look awful?!! You were right though ... it did taste really good! I would love to blame it on the kids ... but it wasn't them who messed it up! The pans that I used to cook the cake in (2 layers ... not that you can tell lol!) were clearly too small and more than 1/3 of the cake spilled out into the oven and started to burn and stink. Here is a picture of Brent and his mom eating the cake that spilled in the bottom of the oven:
Yes, I said eating the mess ... not cleaning it up lol!

I love the new Birthday Papers, but I miss the skip papers. I love the skip colours and they would be perfect for my sons first birthday.

That is hilarious! i love it that they are eating what dripped down!!:) and how is that NOT cleaning it up??? LOL. It is the flops that we remember fondly in years to come. And, the love that went into the cake-making will be remembered longer than that it flopped! The taste is what's important anyway, right?
Thanks for the b-day elements - thanks for continuing on with this ambitious project.

Well it must have tasted good being that they are eating the spill-over! That's too funny. Jayleigh is right, you will always remember it. I keep a silicone oven mat in the bottom of my oven and when stuff spills over, I just take it out and throw it in the dishwasher and put it back in. Maybe I should give my DH a fork and have him clean it up! lol Thanks so much for the adorable elements.

What great Birthday Elements. I remember the cake I made one year. I was going to do it all from scratch. It tasted good but by the time I finished it looked more like a volcano opening up with the top all cracked and pieces slipping. But we all still remember it.

Your birthday pages are cute!
My sis used to always tell me that the worse my cakes looked, the better they tasted. :)
