We had a busy weekend with all of our healthy people lol! We went shopping on Saturday for hours buying new furniture for Brady's room. He needs to have a desk in his room so that he has a quiet place to do his homework and this of course prompted the need to completely redo his room. I didn't let Brent in on the secret that a new desk was going to result in all new furniture but he quickly figured it out lol! We bought all of it at Ikea so of course we will be spending all of our spare time this week putting it together and soaking our sore hands lol! His room needs to be repainted too but that is not going to happen this week! We went to my sister-in-law's house in Burlington yesterday to celebrate Brent's mom's birthday and it was fun but chaotic.

It doesn't take long for the men to figure us out! Unfortunately after 30 years of marriage, my DH knows when I say I want a new kitchen sink that really means new cabinets, countertops and of course you have to have new dishes to match the new kitchen! lol Good luck with putting the new room together and thanks so much for the awesome alpha!

Thanks for the rest of the Alpha! I bet Brady loved going shopping. I do feel for you & Brent having to put it all together. I went shopping today & I'm totally worn out. Usually if it's more than just the grocery I won't even go. I needed some pet shears & a new sweeper today though. Leavin' Lots of Luv!

Well, I live in a small town in the middle of the desert that happens to have the largest lake in the state. The town goes from 8k regularly to 100k visitors on holiday weekends. I stay home then. Point being, not many people around here give their home decoration much thought. The only ones who really do are those who have the million dollar homes around the lake, some on cliffs high above that are breathtaking. I haven't give up hope either. How's that for a nearly 50 year old! hugs and thanks for sharing your creativity. I'll catch up someday... lol

Ooooh, IKEA! There's an IKEA about 40 minutes from me, and DH and I have an agreement: I can go there only 3 times a year without him, lol. Otherwise I spend waaaay too much money! ;)

LOL I saw the Twilight movie "by accident" and was hooked immediately! I had to wait about 2 months to get the book, and refused to start reading before I had at least the 2nd and 3rd ones too! Totally addictive...
