Thanks for the new alpha. You're funny by the way. I've been sick of elections since the primaries myself. And I've still got 2 months to go. Maybe I should try to see it through your eyes - sounds much more fun than my current view. :) And I'm a Republican.

If you like out politics then maybe you will enjoy this spoof!

http://www.peteyandpetunia.com/VoteHere/VoteHere.htm

thanks for the alpha again! I live in the uk and every time the news is on its filled with the american election campaigns, there is nothing like that here, it seems so HUGe and OTT to us here. we are lucky if candidates ware a badge! it seems to go on for ever and there is another 8 weeks too!

Republican :-)
Sarah Palin looks like Anita Renfroe!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anSpBUxsgAU

if you haven't seen the video before it is hillarious. I think they look, act, and talk alike!!

She totally looks like Tina Fey! Weird. I am a complete Republican and I just think she is great (Palin-not Tina Fey).

I'm glad you are enjoying it - we were a little too close to Denver for our taste. If only it had been the Republicans here. This week was better and we stayed up late watching it every night. I'm sure it is all handling to make them seem like celebrities - although I think Palin is the real deal (at least until the Washington people get a hold of her).

I won't let anyone schedule anything on election night - that is a holiday at our house. Break out the crayons - we are coloring our maps red and blue (hopefully, more red than blue).

TY so very much!!!!!

Love your commentary today. Republican and all over excited about sarah palin!!!! I have a case of envy...beautiful, intelligent, a devoted mother, moral, successful....love her!
thanks for the treats too and happy election watching (from afar)!

Thanks for the set.

I am a Canadian ... married to an American ... and we are watching the election coverage too! My husband is facinated with Canadian politics ... and I have been watching the convention cheering on the Republicans!

LOL You are so cute. I never thought of it as reality TV, but I think you got it right. LOL

I find it so funny that Canadians are watching our election conventions. I live here and I am so sick and tired of hearing about the election. They drag it out so long and we still have two more months to go. YIKES! LOL

We are registered Republicans because we wanted to vote for the Republican candidate for sheriff in our town 4 years ago and we never changed back to Democrat. This year it was the same situation so guess it was good that we hadn't changed. LOL He got elected both times. I am sure it was due to our two votes. ROFLMBO I try to vote for the best candidate and not pay too much attention to what party they belong to.

I ask my husband who he is going to vote for and one day it's one and then the next day it's the other. We have never had such a hard time deciding.

I really loved Sarah Palin's speech and I was so proud of John McCain last night. I do feel he is a true American hero and really LOVES our country and what is best for it.

I am really trying to weigh who will do the best job and help us recover from the mess of the Bush administration. I will NOT be sorry to see him go.

Are you sorry you asked now? LOL

Thanks for another great alpha.

Big Hugs!

Count me in as another Republican who thinks Sara is incredible!! She's so polished for being in the center spotlight.

Thanks for the alpha :))

Hugs......Kirbiee

Politics in the U.S. is funny alright. This whole election process started way earlier than any other election in history and turned out to be a total "dog fight". What's hilarous is you end up with 2 Democrats who had nothing good to say about each other early on in the delegate fight but now they've joined forces and decided to run together - now it's a big love fest.

LOL! My sister made a comment about how she thinks Sarah Palin & Tina Fey resembled each other, too. Never thought about it until then.

Wow. I'm a Democrat and even volunteered (when I lived in DC) with the first Bill Clinton campaign. However, I don't know whether to laugh or cry about the state this country is in now. I don't want to start any flames, so I won't voice my opinion on YOUR blog, Pamela, but let's just say I'm surprised at some of the comments I've read.

You're right. I think Fey and Palin look a LOT alike, and if SNL is as savvy as I think they are, she'll be a guest host this political season so that they can get her to spoof Palin the entire episode.

My husband is Canadian and was just regaling our friends the other night about the interesting "parties" you have up there - Communist, Marijuana, Rhino. Made *me* laugh, that's for sure.

Thanks for the alpha. Only 7 letters left. Have you thought of what you'll do after the ABC kits play out?

Peace.

LOL - No wonder she looked so familiar! With the nomination of Sarah, the election is becoming more exciting. It is reality TV!

Proud to be a Republican American, and am totally psyched about Sarah Palin! I normally stay away from politics whenever possible, as it usually just seems to be a lot of bickering and lying and spending money in wasteful ways. However, the selection of Palin really got me excited about this campaign as I never have been before. For the first time, I have hope that MAYBE - just MAYBE - things can get done in Washington that will actually help our citizens!

Thanks for the goodies!

I can't imagine how heavy the election TV coverage must be over there - here in Australia we seem get too much for my liking! The media seems to think it's important ;)

I bet our political brouhahas aren't covered over there - did you know Aussie aged pensioners campaigned for increased pensions... by stripping off in the street LOL now that's reality TV! (Not entirely naked, don't panic!)

Thanks for the alpha!

I have found that a large part of the US is Republican... and the same goes for American digi scrappers. I myself am quite liberal and vote Democrat. Its seems that most of the ethnic minority and those who live within urban areas tend to lean towards the more liberal side. I have great hopes for what Obama can do for those of us that are under represented- the ethnic minority and those without healthcare. But, we'll see. I see a lot of people voting red because their main issues are anti abortion and anti gay marriage. It boils down to control. How about healthcare for everyone? Those that don't have the healthcare issue to worry about have the luxury of worrying about who marries who. I actually had hopes for Palin, too... but I didn't find her speech to contain much substance (a lot of mudslinging and sarcasm), which does nothing for me.

Anyways, enough of that. I went on a small rant. TY for the beautiful goodies!!

I tend to vote for who will do the best job regardless of party. But this year I've been busy watching the Fay, Gustav, Hanna, Ike, and hopefully not Josephine shows to really care much about either convention. My favorite part is usually the state roll call where they go on on bragging about what they think makes themselves great. I did get to work at the polls during our August local primaries and will be working again in November. That was a lot of fun. You get paid but my husband figured that with the hours you have to be there you aren't making minimum wage. We have to be there by 6 am and can't leave the building until everything is packed up and ready to load in the Clerk's car. Then we all have to leave at the same time. We didn't get out until almost 9 pm and November should be even later.

Thank you for another installment! I'm registered Republican, but am really more of a libertarian. I like Palin very much -- if my initial impression is proved correct I think she'll be an incredible asset.

I have many friends who are in a similar situation as I am -- conservative on economic and defense issues but more liberal on social issues. There aren't many candidates (ever, it seems) that match that profile.

I find most of our political machine distasteful -- I really think that the two major parties are more interested in polarizing the American public than they are in making progress on any front. If the Democrats say the sky is blue, the Republicans will argue it's orange and vice versa. I am of the opinion that a viable 3rd party would help mediate that, but the current system is so entrenched I am not sure that will ever happen.

If nothing else this is the most interesting election I've seen in a while.

I can't wait till Nov when all of this political stuff is OVER!!! and OMG you are soo right, they look ALOT alike!! Thanks for the alpha! Love them as usual!

Thanks so much for the alpha and all you do to keep this train moving along! I love it.

Oh, and GO PALIN-McCAIN ticket! (oops, I guess it should be McCAIN-PALIN) Admittedly, I had my reservations about a woman being McCain's choice for VP - it might have been just a politically correct thing to do to try to win over Hillary supporters. But the more I've researched and read about Palin and her past policies, I'm loving her. Just keeping my fingers crossed....

I knew she reminded me of someone! You totally nailed it!!

Thanks again for all you do!

I'm spending my weekend getting my little guy ready to start Kindergarten on Monday. Any advice? :)

~ Marilou in NH

This digi-scrapper is a Republican. :o)

Oh, you crack me up!

My husband can't figure out how most Canadians know all 50 states, capitols and locations when most Americans don't know that, sure not all of ya'll's (I'm from the South, it's a real word, I promise) provinces. Most Americans don't even know how many provinces Canada even has!

So did you see the VERY end of McCain's speech when he was talking about teaching an illiterate adult to read and almost immediately the camera zoomed in on a poster that said "McCain is Mavrick" - I laughed until I thought I would cry!

Thanks again for the freebies, I now have my initials!

We are sick of the election process here. It has gone on for way to long! Thanks for the alpha - I'm a republican.
