Jump ABC Kit - Elements XIV
Apparently you loved the new template technique as much as I did! I played around with them some more last night and ended up making 66 of them! I love them! I have packaged them all up (the zip folder is less than 5MB so it should work just fine for anyone on dial-up too) and you can find them here for only $4.99 for the entire set.
If you want to try to make them yourself here is what I did:
1) Opened a new 12x12 document with a white background (instead of transparent)
2) Using your shape tool (cookie cutter tool) draw a rectangle.
3) Switch to your text tool and type the word you want to use (I used the Franklin Gothic Heavy font)
4) Resize (stretch) your text to the width of the rectangle and the height you desire and then position it directly under your shape with the very top of the word slightly touching. Getting the word exactly positioned from end to end is the finicky part.
5) Right click on your text layer and choose Rasterize Type or Simplify Layer.
6) Merge your text and shape layer and you have a template!
I created all of my templates in 12x12 size but they can easily be modified to brag book size by doing the following:
1) Open the 12x12 template
2) Go to Image-Image Size- Change the width and height to 6 inches
3) Control N or open an new document, 6 inches wide, 4 inches height, white background
4) Click on your word shape (black shape) in your layers palette then go to the template and drag the shape to the new document while holding down the shift key (will automatically centre it) and there you go - no more resizing necessary!
I have added the following words and names to the personalized sets page: Happy Birthday, Grad&Graduate&Graduation, Jude, Brandon, Brody and Chelsea so make sure to check them out here.
Thank you to Rachel, Mallu, Tammy and Shelby, Melanie, Jeanie, Sweet as Mel and Kim for giving me this awesome award! I am blushing because of all the wonderful things you said about me - I really appreciate it!
I may go back and add that there are 3 Kings and 2 Queens on my layout! You could also use a House of Jokers title or Jokers with pics of silly faces - I think that would be cute!
Download expired but you can still find it in my Digitreats Store
I was just fooling around with an Atomic Cupcake brush when I made this little caterpillar but thought some of you might be able to use him or her!
Sue - Your wedding photo story is unbelievable! Was the store owner a vampire!
Yolly - I would love to see your layouts! Resize them to 500x500 pixels and then send them to me at digitreats@rogers.com and I will happily display them in the ABC Albums on my blog!

What a beautiful family you have. Thanks for the instuctions, I have PSP but I have NOOOOOOO clue how to use it, thats why I am so greatful to you and your wonderful talent.
Love the new goodies.

Your little caterpillar is so cute and I love the frames. It amazes me how you keep surprising us with different elements that "rock". LOL
I love the frames. I use Photo Impact and will try your tut. I can't do raster, but I will play around and see what I can come up with. If I can't figure it out I will just buy yours. LOL I will probably have to purchase what I miss while I am gone having my surgery so I can pick them up then.
I am really dreading my surgery Friday. I think 3 bone surgeries in 2 years is a little much for anyone. Pam, please remember me in your prayers and I will be back ASAP.
Thank you so much.
Hugs!

I love this technique - it just cries out loud for being used on titles! So, this is the new title of my daughters annual book:

Carole: I use PhotoImpact, too, and it works out fine if you play a bit - if you have any problems, you can write to me. And good luck for your operation.

You guys are so cute! What a good lookin family. So...those templates are adorable and I would love to try to do it myself. Although I'm sure I will always depend on you to make super cute and professional looking stuff...I LOVE when you write short easy tutorials like that. Will you do that more often. Again...I WILL depend on you to make everything still. I just wanna know how to do it too. :o) Thanks Pam!!!

Well let me tell you you sure put me to shame! LOL I am so proud of myself, I worked for hours yesterday (and I mean HOURS) and now have it down pat on how to make the wonderful layout you talked about yesterday. I made 3 layouts - printed them out and turned them into coasters! I don't know how you made 66 layouts! My gosh that would take me 2 months!
I have to say I love the way the pages turn out and plan to do several themed bragbooks and as was suggested in one of the comments above - it is a super technique to use for Title pages to albums. Of course all this will take months to achieve. LOL I love learning new things and this was exciting for me.
Your "Full House" is so creative and of course I never tire of seeing photos of your beautiful family.
Pam, you are just so amazing and so blessed with talent.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
PS - I will be trying your method now - maybe it will cut down on some of my creating time!

Oops, I put my comment for the template and instructions on the post before this. I love these. I've already made a bunch for soccer. Thank you so much for the instructions. I love playing with my Photoshop and wish I knew how to "design" more with it. Altering my photos and doing digital layouts just doesn't cut it for me anymore. Thank you again. I just love all your stuff.
