ABC Kits - The "P" Template

Looks like you have left me all kinds of "Outstanding" words for the Jump papers - thank you so much!  Hubby and I have been laying flooring in the basement all day today (shipped Grandma in to watch the wee ones) and let me tell you that my knees are aching!  I think I might be 350 years old not 35!  Apparently I am way out of shape!  I liked it way better when our contract to finish the basement included the flooring lol!  Oh and p.s. we are not very good at it!  You should see the spaces along the walls!  P.P.S.  the spaces are a lot smaller when I measured then when Brent did.  I am nasty!  You know the saying "measure twice, cut once" - well apparently Brent likes to measure 5 times and cut 3 times. Makes for a very long project!  He returns to work on Monday and will be so busy getting caught up that he won't have time to read all the smack I've been talking about him!

Anyway, long story short is that I don't have the Jump "O" Papers done for you but I will be sure to do them tomorrow.  I am giving you the "P" template tonight as I had already finished it and I hate missing a day!Digitreats_p_temp_prev

Download Expired

Could you please leave me your joint and muscle pain remedies today for the next papers lol!

Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us! Sorry to hear about your achyness! Bet the floor looks awesome!

wow can't believe I'm one of the firsts DL's...If you think you are feeling bad tonight...be prepared because tomorrow you may feel worse. A good drink in a soaking tub may feel real good tomorrow night at this time! Thanks for the template but you need to stop feeling like you have to give us something everyday!

Thanks for the letter! You know, the pros wear those padded knee pads or they would complain, too. If you are planning on more floor work, you might want to pad your kneecaps like the pros do. My advice, start your pain reliever now, something like motrin for inflammation. Ice is good, like the others have mentioned, and plan a light day for tomorrow, no bike riding, haha!

I can empathise (sic) with you.....and I too would like to know of a good pain reliever for achy knees (but mine might be a bit arthritic). I really feel for you but a nice long hot soak in the bath might be a good starting point. Please don't feel you have to post a freebie everyday.

Thank you for the template. My vote is for a good drink & soak in the tub. Bet the new floors are really nice!

I can sum up my achy pains in one word. Vicodin....lol lol When I mow the grass or clean the house my back just kills me. So I fill the tub with hot water, make a stiff drink and take a vicodin. I gotta tell you after that I am not feeling ANY pain. You know this has to be a first. I am number 6 to comment, that NEVER happens. It's only because its 2:00 am here. I have been out with friends all day and I was the DD. Thanks for the template and will see you tomorrow. Oh wait, it's already tomorrow.

Pam I am thinking that the same remedy for the cold and nerves will do for the knees, but consume the whisky whilst soaking in a hot bath. I have man flu this week (plus just started the new job in the office boo hoo) and for good measure I broke my toe last night. SIGH. Thank you for the P template, and lots of stretching for you in the morning !

I like the idea from Erika (the whisky LOL) and a hot bad with oils (like lavander or citrus oil) and some stretching exercises (before you go for the next work on knees).
Thank you for the template ! Hugs.

Thanks for another great template!! You certainly churn stuff out for us. Lots of hugs and thanks.

Here is the magic pain reliever combo that we give in the Emergency Room: two acetaminophen and three ibuprofen taken with food, every 3-4 hrs. (That would be 3 Advil and 2 Tylenol) Now that I've typed that, I should put the usual disclaimer that I am NOT a doctor and this is just a suggestion, not a prescription LOL!!! No practicing medicine w/o a license allowed..... :D And, obviously, if you have a sensitivity to either of those medications, never use them.....Thanks for the 'P'. And I repeat what others have already said: You are allowed to take time off. We won't shrivel up and disappear if you don't stoke our freebie addiction daily! Take care!

Also with your 2 Tylenol and 3 Advil take some Vitamin C. It's good for sore muscles! Thanks for the P!

If I were you I'd take a nice long soak in a hot tub, except that I don't have a hot tub . . .
And I'd like to request that you take a nice little vacation from posting freebies, say the first week of August to coincide with MY vacation. I don't wanna miss anything!! :(
Thanks for the P template.

Muscle aches can be treated two ways depending on whether they are inflamed or just tight. Try one, then the other to see which brings the most relief or actually rotate the two.

Ice - 20 minutes on 40 minutes off
Heat - 20 minutes on 40 minutes off

When ever applying ice never just leave it. It stops being effective. This works for those little bumps our kids get as well. The ice works on the blood vessels that's how it reduces swelling. For little bumps we usually do 5 minutes on 10 minutes off. This makes the process easier for the little ones to manage.

Bless your heart. Oh, I would have shipped you my knee pads if I had known you were gonna do the floor. Ouch. One poster is really on target. You will hurt worse tomorrow. Icy hot helps me some or the generic version. Just don't put it on too much of your body it will make you miserably cold. thanks for the template. I'm with everyone on please don't feel bad when you have to miss days. We will stalk your blog anyway...lol. Patty

Hi Pamela! I'm back. I probably shouldn't be, but I could NOT stay away any longer. I actually logged in last week to download all your wonderful goodies so I am saying a huge THANK YOU now since I didn't post one for each download...so NOT like me, but it was all I could do to sit and click the download button. LOL

It's been a rough week, but I can tell I am improving every day from the back surgery. I get my staples out Thur. and can hardly wait as they catch on my clothes and they itch. LOL

I have been on pain pills for 3 years, but one thing I found that helped my aches and pains was Flexall. Just massage it in well and wash your hands well. It did help me.

I bet the floor looks fantastic. Take care and THANK YOU again for all the goodies. They are FABULOUS!

Big Hugs!

thank you!

We are getting ready to replace the flooring in our home...looking forward to those sore muscles!! Arnica is a homeopathic remedy that might help with the soreness (it does for me). It comes in a sublingual (dissolve under the tongue)tablet or rub on cream.

thanks for the template. Don't have any remedies for you; however, don't envy you doing that.

Hmm...muscle pain... I just returned from a trip to my hometown to see some friends. There was a huge festival and I wanted to avoid the twinstroller, so I carried my 18 month old son in the backpack carrier all day long. Not alone this, on the way back in the train he was tired and refused to sleep, so he screamed nearly all the time during this 3 hour trip. I cuddled him and tried to calm him all the time, but with all the power he had he fought and got hard like stone and so ANGRY. It was only embarressing and exhausted us both.

Well, apart from this, it was a nice weekend, but as you asked about muscle pain... :-) I´ve got no other tips for relief than what I´m doing now: Enjoying my favourite hobby, thanks to your beautiful freebie!
Congratulations to getting your floor done - you can still cover the free parts up with some shelves later. But what a shame this contractor didn´t do it - he should have, shouldn´t he?

Hi there! Thanks so much for goodies.

As for muscle/joint pain remedies..I'm disabled with severe fibro, so I've got some GREEAT ones that SAVE me on a daily basis. Plus, before i got sick I was a workout junkie, so I know all the tricks.

First thing, muscle soak asap. Use 2 whole bottles of hydrogen peroxide (generic is fine, like .35 cents per bottle) and two to four cups of epsom salts in a very warm (but not painfully hot) bath. Soak at least 20 minutes. Not only is it amazing for pain, but is also VERY energizing somehow. You can stick in bubblebath or salts to add scent if you like.

Other amazing ones are homeopathic sublingual (dissolve under tongue) tablets you can get on internet. There's zero side effects, and they're almost as effective as my prescription pain medication. They're by a German Co called HEEL, and two preparations that would be best for you are TRAUMEEL or ZEEL...both great for pain, bruising, inflammation, etc, but they vary in exactly what they're best for...just read the descriptions online. They're cheap too. If you use them multi x daily works out to about $16 month. REALLY amazing, and safe even for children. Make sure you get the sublingual tabs, though...they seem to be much more effective than the drops you stick in liquid. I get mine from my pain mgmt MD, but they're easy to find online. I've told about 60ppl about these in last 3 years... I've heard back from about half of them and only two of about 30ppl didn't have noticeable improvement right away. I personally noticed a difference about 10 minutes after I stuck the first tab under my tongue. They're near miraculous...don't know how they work, but they do, thank God. I love that I can get significant pain relief without adding ANOTHER dangerous pain script to my body...they're totally safe pharmacy grade homeopathics, so won't interfere with anything else you take.

And lastly, I go thru a ton of THERAGESIC, which is a muscle rub thing that you can get at a drug store (like sports rubs, but more effective imo). I have tons of knee neck and hand probs, and theragesic gives almost immediate relief...though does tingle a TON, so be prepared. Good thing is after you rub it in you can wash it off to get rid of weird peppermint smell but stays effective.

Personally, I'd say order some Traumeel or Zeel by Heel brand, and send hubby to drug store to pick up the theragesic and epsoms/peroxide. Then take daily muscle soaks, and rub theragesic on knees when you get out of bath...that should literally fix just about anything. BTW, there will definitely be noticeable relief after first bath, so pain should be gone pretty quick!

Hope that helps!!

Hi Pam ! Well I have a totally "natural" way of remedy : I take Homeopathy. Do you have this in Canada ? Anyhow Here's my prescription for you and in Two days it will be gone. (Homeopathy is also excellent to treat your kids... it's not medicine poison !) So here's what you must take : APIS MELIFICA 9CH, RHUS TOXICODENDRON 9CH, ARNICA MONTANA 9CH. 3 granules of each 3 time a day 15 to 30 minutes before you eat. Also, ARNICA in cream and a massage on the aching area till total absortion of the cream. You should be fine very quickly ! Perhaps I'm writing you late, and you are already better but you can still use these ! Hope it helps ! Hugs from France. PS : I heal a lot of people around me. Ask any pain, OK ? Sylvia

Sounds like a lot of work! I don't have a hot tub but have friends that swear by them, but a nice warm soak in the tub should work too. Don't use too much of the creams for muscles aches as you can actually die if you use too much, too often! Yikes! Hope you get some rest, like when he goes back to work and you are alone! LOL! At least he tries, mine doesn't even do that most of the time! Thanks for thinking of us and sharing! Hope you feel better soon! :)

Happy home remodeling! :) Thanks for the P.

I agree Arnica is a great product for sore muscles. If you find that after you wake up several days later and you are still in pain then try Zymactive or Repair. Either product has proteolytic enzymes which help reduce discomfort, speed recovery, and increase circulation. Repair works well when you sprain or tear a muscle. Zymactive will bring down inflamation and help with the pain.

Thanks so much for the "P"! And I feel your pain with the flooring. We did kitchen tile a few years back and scraping up the old linoleum paper layers was murder. My husband's knees have never been the same!

Thank you for all you do with the great alphas. I hope you feel better soon.
