ABC Kits - The "M" Template!
Thank you for all of your well wishes! I feel a little bit better tonight after taking Erika's suggestion of the whiskey lol!
Screen doors - someone asked the other day when I posted that we were having a hard time finding a screen door and that they thought they were pretty standard. I live in Canada, in a suberb not in an igloo so you are right to assume that they are all fairly standard. My husband is not. I am not sure how he is measuring things but apparently the last we heard he was going to have to buy a bigger door and cut it down to size. He is a banker. This will not go well. We will end up buying several doors. He hung one tonight that clearly has a 3/4 of an inch gap on every side and about an inch on the bottom. Apparently he is going to "build" it up to a "snug" fit. Do you feel my pain?

OH, I'm feeling your pain on the door thing....(grimacing). Husbands are a pain! Is it possible to suggest that hiring someone to find the door and install it would be cheaper and less hassle in the long run? Or, while he's at work, you could have it done, and put a big bow on it, and tell him it's a belated Happy Father's Day present. Because he is so busy providing for the family, that you didn't want him to spend his precious home time on a project? Oh, hon, I know the fragile male ego. Good Luck. Patty

Oh my, your screen door story is pretty funny. (Sorry, I bet you're not laughing). You just have to post a picture when he is done building it up. On to M... thanks so much.

I'm with Patty - getting someone in to do it as a surprise is a nice way of preserving his ego and your sanity ! Maybe take some more of that whisky to make sure no more germs come back - you can never be too sure - LOL. Thank you for the template, can't believe we are already at M.

rotflol, i feel your pain, pam! fortunately, my accountant dh knows he is not handy and doesn't try. but this reminds me of the episode of the cosby show where dr huxtable is going to 'fix' the shower. his wife, in her infinite wisdom, hires plumbers. cliff shadows the plumbers the whole time to make sure they do the job right. i guess it's a guy thing, lol! thanks for the M, that's for mommy!

My DH learned long ago to just let me hire someone. :) He knows I'll get it done well and for as little $$ as possible. Shall I send him on over to teach your DH? LOL
Thanks for another great template.

Thanks for the template. I like the idea of the "surprise" door. My husband is handy, but time is always lacking. So if it's not one thing it's the other. Sometimes hiring is the way to go to preserve sanity on all sides. Good luck. :)

Ok, I dooooo feel your pain on the screen door. BTDT! lol
Igloo! too funny. Believe it or not, I went to school in Canada (Ok, so it was 30 years ago), and someone once did ask me if people still lived in igloos!
Glad you are feeling better.
Thanks, Starla

Whiskey...hmmm never thought of that, but I bet it works! lol
Oh my the door issue, what a major pain in the rear! And 'build it up to fit' oh ya I feel your pain! lol We have a custom built front door (by my father) It is absolutely beautiful but getting a snug fit around it has been the pits. Especially when the wind and rain hit and want to creep in around the edges! YIKES Good luck GF!!!
Thanks for the goodie

LOL Understand your troubles ... We have this show on tv here, called 'help my husband thinks he's handy' . This is where the tv people take over and finish all the stuff that the husbands have been working on for years LOL Good luck, and still, it's sweet of him to try ;-)
Thanks for the template (and all the other freebies of course !)

My husband works for a builder and I always say if WOMEN build homes there would be 4 layers of tar paper under the shingles on a roof, the walls would be MUCH thicker.
And what is the deal with a shim (sp?)
where the jam little pieces of wood into door frames to shim up the door to 'build it out'
why can't they just measure exactly...
Again if Women build homes :)
Good luck with that.
Regarding your strep throat try taking

Try the manufacturer's site for the throat care, the link I put above doesn't ship to Canada.

I also added this info to my blog because I have a friend that's daughter keeps getting strep and the antibiotic isn't working anymore.

Ouch, good luck with the screen door. I am replacing mine in a few weeks, front and back door. I got some brochuer's at Lowe's (that's our big home improvement store) and holy cow I cannot believe how much they cost. I could buy a cheapie for $98.00 but I'm afraid it won't hold up. AH the pleasures of owning one's home.. lol lol Thanks for today's M template.

Oh, Pam, I am so feeling your pain over the new door. My hubby is very handy....he thinks he can fix anything....NOT! LOL He would give you the shirt off his back, but he will work for weeks trying to figure out how to save a dollar. LOL
I am so happy you are feeling a little better and I sure hope the kiddos don't get it.
Oh my gosh! Can you believe you/we are at the halfway mark with the M's? What a fun trip it has been and I look forward to the last half of this amazing venture.
Thanks for all that you have shared with us...your designs, your funny stories, and your darling children.
Big Hugs!
